Who Are We ?

We are, above all, a wellness community. Our model is a model of social justice: we believe that quality wellness services should be available to all.
We understand that wellness spaces/services can be standardized in ways that only reach a small slice of the population, so we will actively listen to our clients to create a practice space that aligns with their personal needs and intersecting identities.
As we aim to constantly grow towards being a more accessible, multicultural space for our clients, we have ongoing training opportunities and supervision as a team.

We have been an Accessible MKE Fitness community since 2012 and a Mental Health Informed Clinical Wellness Program since 2015. See our story!

ACCESS is what MATTERS.
We celebrate and welcome all identities, all abilities and all bodies (and nervous systems). This means we are consistently doing the work to be a:

About us
A Literal Marriage of Ideas
Our work with clients wanting to improve their quality of life and vitality started about a decade ago when Tony Langtimm created his first adaptive fitness business in Milwaukee. The mission statement of the gym was to create accessible services for the Milwaukee community, based on the ASCENT method. [...]

Ongoing Collaborations/ Contracts:
The Ascent Wellness Program holds contracts with the following Agencies/Organizations/Programs for the mental health clinical support work we do. We are thankful for the Behavioral Health Division of Milwaukee, the Comprehensive Community Services professional network in Milwaukee providing holistic mental health services and multidisciplinary mental health teams for clients (it's a great source of growth and fulfillment to work in the network!), the Wraparound Milwaukee, REACH, O-YEAH programs and CLTS waiver and IRIS. Work with the M.S. Population are offered through Ascent for Life, Inc.
We apologize if not all logos are represented but we are in a continuous process of updating our website.

Ascent Wellness Campus Land Acknowledgment:
We offer gratitude and we pause to acknowledge and recognize that we are on traditional Potawatomi, Ho-Chunk and Menominee homeland along the southwest shores of Michigami, North America’s largest system of freshwater lakes, where the Milwaukee, Menominee and Kinnickinnic rivers meet and the people of Wisconsin’s sovereign Anishinaabe, Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Oneida and Mohican nations remain present. We are on unceded lands with a long history of oppression, colonialism, erasure and occupation. We are committed to operate with this awareness and not cause further burden on our communities. We invite you to learn more and donate to local and/or national organizations (UWM list here) and to learn more on active allyship, particularly about how you can support Tribes directly through informed action. Allyship toolkit page here.
