We welcome you with all of your intersecting identities: we are actively evolving as an inclusive workspace and agency that affirms all types of human diversity. Some of the ways we show this is by taking an anti-racist stance, being an LGBTQIA+ brave space, and openly affirming neurodiversity and cultural differences. Many commonly-requested workplace accommodations are already built into the way we work, and are available to anyone who needs them. If you have additional accommodation needs, we will gladly partner with you to ensure that you are supported. Our Hiring Process
We value your time, and have designed a streamlined process to ensure a clear understanding of each role and its requirements, and a comprehensive review of each candidate considering your unique experiences, background.

Application period: Our application period typically lasts 4-6 weeks, and may vary based on initial response to job postings and the capacity of our small hiring team.

Screening and interviewing: The active hiring process, which includes screening, interviewing, practical skills assessment, and reference checks, may take an additional 4-6 weeks. This means that the total time period from the job announcement to extending an offer can span up to 8-12 weeks.
Stage 1: Apply online at https://summitwellness.bamboohr.com/careers
-
Application questions and required support materials are vital in our review process. Questions are crafted to capture the essential details our team needs to evaluate your qualifications. While we aim to avoid asking for information already included in your resume, we request that you answer all application questions thoroughly. This helps us gain a clear understanding of your experience and interest in the role.
Stage 2: Application Review
-
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, evaluating your experience, professional skills, and interests against the job requirements. Candidates who rank highest will be contacted by phone or email to schedule an initial phone interview.
-
If your application does not meet basic requirements or rank high enough, we will notify you by email that your application will not move forward. We may offer to keep your application on file and notify you of future job opportunities.
Stage 3: Initial Phone Interview
-
Chosen candidates will be contacted to schedule a 30-45 minute phone call with a member of our hiring team. The purpose of this call is to provide a clear understanding of the essential functions of the role, including the most challenging and rewarding parts of the job, and determine whether it feels like a good fit for both you and the company. You will be asked some basic questions about your interest and motivation, education and credentials, work experience, comfort level with job expectations, and values. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions and receive information about the job responsibilities, compensation and benefits, and workplace culture.
Stage 4: In-person Interview
-
Candidates determined to be the best fit after the phone interview will be offered a 60-min in-person panel interview with members of our hiring team, including the Executive Director and Program Director. You will be asked a series of formal and informal questions to get a better understanding of how your education, experience, and skills align with the needs of the role and the organization's values and principles. You may be asked to respond to problem-solving scenarios or provide examples of past experiences. There will also be time for you to ask questions, so we encourage you to come prepared.
Stage 5: Practical Skills Assessment (some roles)
-
For certain wellness provider roles (e.g. fitness, yoga, nutrition, therapy), final candidates may be asked to participate in a "mock session" with a member of our hiring team acting as a client, and you as the service provider. This is an opportunity to showcase your approach and skills, and demonstrate what you've learned so far about our programs through the interview process. "Mock sessions" are typically scheduled for a later date following the in-person interview, and you will be sent information in advance in order to prepare.
Stage 6: Reference Checks, Offer Letter, and Background Check
-
You will be asked to provide at least three professional references on the job application, and these references will be contacted if you are a final candidate. Candidates who are selected for hire will be provided with a formal job offer letter and a start date contingent upon successfully passing a background checks. If you accept the job offer, you will be asked sign a "Background Information Disclosure" form. In the rare event that you do not pass this final stage, you will be notified.
